What to Think About for August Meeting

Mary Jo could not be at the July meeting, so she has provided an overview of her planned August class, titled Steam Punk Polymer.

Unless people have a particular color they want to work with in clay, I will provide most of the clay.  I have a very good assortment of colors altho I do NOT have much black as I do not work with it except for animal noses, etc.  They can make an animal or person, butterfly or lizard, etc.  If they want to do steam punk, they need to have gears, watches, etc, as my supply is very limited.  Short pieces of chain are also good—old necklaces, etc.   If they want mokume gane (layered clay with metallic stuff in it) I can teach that, too.  Mokume gane makes nice figures of ladies/men or even animals.

There will be more later in what else they need to bring, like pasta machines that are used ONLY for clay.  I have one but if many want to do the things using it, might be slow.  Like I said, more later.

As soon as more information is available, I will post it here.
